Pros and cons of The Cave app for iPhone and iPad

The Cave app good for

First of all, game is not broken and controls are perfectly thought. People whining about it just have no clue about video games altogether on screen buttons other than the 3 characters to switch amongst them wouldnt be as useful as the current controls. This game developed by Ron Gilbert (the master of the universe when it comes to video games) and Double Fine is wonderful, it is so much fun to play and it can be played over and over with different combinations amongst the 7 characters in the game of which you have to pick 3 each time you want to play the game again. Bought this game because I cant wait to have thimbleweed park released early 2017 and I need to play a new game I still havent played from His Highness Ron Gilbert. If you like puzzles and have sense of humor you will just love this game.
I actually like this game, but as some people have said the iOS controls are a bit wonky. Mostly on ladders, and elevator buttons. But you kind of get used to it. I think a great addition would be the ability to skip levels that have already been accomplished, if you wish. Obviously you want to be able to play all of the levels available to the different characters. But playing through the core levels that are non-character specific more than one can be boring. Id like to see a choice to not replay already played levels. That said, if you enjoy puzzle, adventure, exploration games, this one is good IMHO.
This game is so different from other games. I wish there was a sequel.
Love the storyline and characters. Narrator is hilarious. Great scenery and fun puzzles. My only complaint is that the controls are finicky and frustrating at times.
This is a really fun little game. Some spots are a bit challenging, but not mind-boggling. I didnt find the characters quite as difficult to control as others have. I like that you can play through several times with different characters and get different stories. Overall I feel like I got my moneys worth.
Cons: bad controls and choppy/laggy frame rates. Pros: everything else... This game is charming :). Buy. It. Now.

Some bad moments

issue so far is the music doesnt work? The sound does so I dont get it...have to deduct 1 star for this as I see the devs havent made an update in years so Im probably screwed with a game that doesnt have the music feature working..I play on itouch 6 with iOS 9 FYI, so it aint the device....AND the achievements arent working despite the devs stating they fixed it...well no, you didnt clearly...another 2 stars deducted for that and lying about it....oh another game breaking issue, the adventurer character cannot swing her grapple hook straight up into the ceiling which thusly you CANNOT proceed in the game...so fame over now...I want an IMMEDIATE REFUND from Apple or the developer...this game should NOT be listed for sale if it does not work properly.
I have played this game on the Xbox 360 and it was really fun. The puzzles were really good and the gameplay was great, but on the iPad it is almost impossible to control. Puzzles a lot longer than they should and it makes the whole game a lot more frustrating. Could there be separate controls for a jump button and another one to move? If that could be possible that will be a great update for this game.
This game IS broken. Physically and morally. No updates to fix problems... awful controls. Delete.
When trying to move the sarcophagus down on the platform I got STUCK in the slope. Tried killing myself by raising the gate and no luck. Going to be suuuuuuper lame if I have to start this game over again as the mine takes forever! There should be a suicide button so this can be avoided in the future :(
Funny game, funny riddels, terrible controls. Jumping across a hole is a bigger challenge than the riddles in the game. Thumbs down.
SEGA!!! You lazy piece of sh... Your game is missing its music!!! Had to keep my purchase since Apple denied me to give it back but Im regretting buying this game for iOS!
